Doctor Simone Moroni

Dr. Simone Moroni, Podiatrist, is a pioneer, researcher, and specialist in ultrasound-guided orthobiological treatments and ultrasound-guided foot surgery.

He has described and published innovative ultrasound-guided surgical techniques in prestigious scientific journals that have revolutionized foot surgery.

The advantages of these cutting-edge ultrasound-guided surgical treatments include respect for anatomical structures, precision, minimal tissue invasion, which cannot be achieved with other surgical techniques, thereby reducing the risk of complications and increasing the success rate in treating foot and ankle pathologies.

Dr. Simone Moroni performs state-of-the-art ultrasound-guided surgical treatments in the forefoot for treating sesamoiditis and Morton’s neuroma, and in the hindfoot for treating plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, tarsal tunnel syndrome, Baxter’s syndrome, Haglund’s disease, Achilles tendonitis, and ankle equinus due to gastrocnemius and gastro-soleus shortening.

Dr. Simone Moroni specialized in the Official University Master’s Degree (MSc) in Minimally Invasive Foot Surgery.

He has also completed fellowships in minimally invasive orthopedic surgery in Naples, Italy (with the CSZ team), and in podiatric surgery by the Society of Podiatric Physicians of Puerto Rico.

Dr. Moroni combines his clinical work with teaching. He is a professor of anatomy, ultrasound, and ultrasound-guided surgery at the Catholic University of Valencia, both in the undergraduate program and the Master’s program in minimally invasive foot surgery. He also provides teaching at various national and international universities and is a board member of the Spanish Association of Minimal Incision.
